This is one of the most quirky buildings i’ve ever had the pleasure to explore. Even as almost a grown up (33) I found my self trying every door and gate in this place. Then i got drunk, woke up in the morning and did it all again.
I’m a photographer, designer who specialises in restaurant and cafes. From naming to lighting! Would love to be involved in some creative projects in the South West.

Couldn’t agree more. Endlessly facinating house. You’d think the 17th Century occupants had just popped out for a loaf.
Thanks for posting these. I used to go to Bardon a lot as a child when I was riding in Somerset and it was always a completely bizarre place, owned by a white-haired old gentleman called Roy. I remember there being a room full of stuffed animals that I was always too terrified to go in! Great to re-live old memories in any case.
I loved these pictures. Thank you for sharing. I used to go there when I was in my 20’s and 30’s I really must get to see Roy again soon.

I love these photos! I visited every year when I was a child, and want to make another trip there this summer!
I can’t seem to get hold of Roy, does anyone have his number?
Thanks! :)
