so i left broome and a pile of great friends. but it’s not about the friends you’ve got, it’s about the friends you’ve made.

so no entry for a while… well i haven’t really been doing anything, i’ve been happily living in Broome.  it’s time to move on, much as i’d like to spend a few years here, there are other important things i need to do, though i’m unsure what.

Being my last weekend in here, you’d think i’d be lying on the beach, catching a few waves (with jelly fish in) and be heavily on the piss… alas no. freelance has gone really well and i’ve got a whole load of deadlines to meet. not only that, but in a freak weather pattern the temperature has dropped to 19 degrees (brrr) it’s cloudy, windy and i’m inside at my laptop feeling a little bit ill. oh those winter blues !

Monday i make my way to karratha for some time with the aunt and uncle, next week Perth. Bris-Vegas, then to Sydney, Thailand, and Cornwall.

I’m now in broome, again, it’s dry season now and 30 – 35 every day, you have to love broome, i’m learning to surf. the surf is maybe 2ft high! so, learning to dodge big arse jelly fish is more accurate. but mostly i’ve been on the beach in a ute.

at the moment i’m looking for a job, but with as little effort as possible. there is so much not to do here, if i have a job it will really get in the way of stuff. – like today for example i made a 44 second video!

so traveling is about experiences, and i’ve had the best one yet.
flying a small plane through massive clouds was AMAZING.
i got to fly uncle tim’s plane most of the way from karratha to broome (600 km), except for take off and landing! flying through the clouds is something i always imagined would be cool to do, following the contours of a cloud, flying through gaps, slowly swooping and and turning as though you’re dodging a 7 story marshmallow at 9500ft.
FUCKING ACE, my mouth was wide open for half the flight !

also to confirm an earlier travel entry there really isn’t anything here, plenty of nothing as far as the eye can see.
it’s a whole lot nicer from above though.

i’m now in karratha with uncle tim and aunty judy. an amazing couple whom i’ve never really had the chance to get to know before. inspirational at the least.

mum’s here, we’ve just been down south for a nice 3 days in margaret river. i’ve got really into my sem sav blancs. oh the backpacking life style! as well as drinking white wine and chatting to mum i got mashed by a HUGE wave, which was a good experience, but not one to try daily.

I noticed yesterday that most people no longer sound australian to me. which is odd. they just sound normal!

that said they’re a bunch of cocks because they delay the grand prix, you don’t get it live because it’s on sunday eveningish and apparently people want to watch a film instead… ANGRY.

So i’ve been hanging around in perth trying to find some work, after all i am unemployed. emailed a company said that i may be interested in working for them. they said yeah. so now i’m earning. got a house with dycie and lisa too !

spent this last weekend drinking heaps of red wine in maragret river with claude… she works on a vineyard. mmmm boozy. learnt much about wine – did you know they add fish baldders to some white wine !

but apart from practising my aussie accent, and working out how i’m going to move here. things are just crusing along.

i haven’t even got anything to be unimpressed by. moan moan.

it was valentines day yesterday, and i went to ascot. look at my hat, isn’t it big. I guess that’s what you do when you don’t have a girlfriend. That said this is adam, he has a girlfriend, she drove while we got pissed and lost our money.

and then won it back. yesss. get in.

bret left today. i’m now all alone, except for my new friends and adopted parents (bret’s).
